Mr. Schenk founded ACA Associates in 1989 after eighteen years at Bankers Trust Company where he was a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance Department. At ACA he developed a large practice advising aerospace companies, evaluating new business initiatives, and providing diligence reports for the financial community.

Over the past few years, he has focused on the aviation industry and environmental sustainability. This focus resulted in ACA's retention by the FAA to help leverage the expertise of the Commercial Alternative Aviation Fuel Initiative (CAAFI). Mr. Schenk provided advice to Airlines 4 America on issues related to risk assessment of alternative aviation fuel projects and the financing of refineries. On behalf of the FAA, he conducted market research on supply chain issues and lending institutions' risk assessment of alternative aviation fuel projects. He was a member of the USDA's Farm to Fly task force, is a member of World Economic Forum's alternative aviation fuel working group and the Eastern US and Canada Climate Change task force.

Mr. Schenk has teamed with Metron Aviation on two Airport Cooperative Research Council projects (02-18 and 02-36) that provide handbooks and tool kits for airports. ACRP 02-36 covers alternative fuels for all modes of transportation to help airports develop a reasoned approach to selection of alternative fuels and involve all stakeholders in these decisions. In addition, he is active in the FAA's Advanced Jet Fuel Quality and Performance Control R&D Study in which ACA and Metron are developing a catalogue of jet fuel characteristics recorded in the field to help track changes in properties as synthetic fuel is deployed.

Mr. Schenk has worked with the Inter American Development Bank for a number of years. This work included a background report titled "Opportunities for Latin America and the Caribbean in the Field of Alternative Aviation Fuels for the Inter-American Development Bank" and "Report on Reducing & Offsetting Aviation Related Carbon Emissions from the Brazil 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games."

Mr. Schenk's involvement in these activities requires that he work with agricultural interests in Canada and the U.S., state and local economic development agencies, and Federal agencies such as the Department of Energy, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Defense, and the FAA. Mr. Schenk has made numerous presentations on alternative aviation fuel to financial institutions, government agencies, multilateral lending institutions, and industry conferences. He has also been a guest lecturer on alternative aviation fuel at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Vaughn College of Aeronautics.

As a consultant, Mr. Schenk has provided financial and strategic advice to a broad group of U.S. and foreign airlines and aerospace companies. Mr. Schenk is a regular speaker at aviation conferences and is a frequent contributor to industry publications. He is a graduate of Columbia College and holds a MBA from Columbia University School of Business. He is a member of the New York Wings Club.
